So here we are, on the brink of spring, spending more time than usual in our own four walls. As something of a homebody, I’m not finding it all that difficult (so far). I get to hang out with Jack and June (photo at right). And I have time to cook myself really good food, and even bake, satisfying both my sweet tooth and carb cravings.
I find kitchen inspiration in several wonderful blogs including Downshiftology, Nutrition in the Kitch, Pick Up Limes, and my new favorite, Pinch of Yum from Minnesota food blogger Lindsay Ostrom. Next time you need a little edible comfort, try her Two Person Raspberry Crumble. It’s the perfect thing to make with your kids (double or triple the recipe!), to share with someone you love, or if you live solo like me, devour all by yourself. Bon appétit!
Meanwhile, the real estate market is alive and well, if a bit slower. Homes are still going on the market and there are still buyers who want to buy, especially in the $250K to $500K range. Like all of us, I am taking every precaution – working from home, conducting meetings via phone or Zoom, and showing homes only when I can guarantee that you and I will be the only ones in the home (with gloves and hand sanitizer at the ready). I’m also very happy to do FaceTime or What’s App “virtual” showings, and many listings now have online virtual tours. In short, I’m here for you if you have real estate on your mind. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
The votes are in!
Thank you for voting me a Favorite Realtor in the Women’s Press again this year. It feels great to know that what I do, and how I do it, matters.
When showing a home, realtors used to ask clients, “can you imagine yourself living here?” Now we’re asking, “can you imagine yourself sheltering in place here?” Finding a bit of lightness in challenging times gives us all a little lift. 🙂
